I created the following 3 charts to capture the focus of AWS Re:Invent 2019 last week from the perspective of 6.673 (mostly) attendees tweeting about the event. This quantiative analysis looks at 6.790 Tweets and 11.133 Retweets that were posted throughout the duration of the event.

Subscribers of Enterprise Management Associates (EMA) have access to a deeper dive analysis that includes many more charts.

  1. Most Tweeted Hashtags

Unsurprisingly, #cloud was the most used hashtag at #ReInvent 2019, with serverless at number 3. Surprisingly #awsdeepracer ranks right behind serverless, but as we will see when looking at the next chart, the buzz around this topic was mostly created by corporate AWS accounts.

2. Most Retweeted Hashtags

While #Deepracer shows up as the number one most retweeted hashtag from Re:Invent 2019, the below chart shows that over 80% of these retweets came from AWS-owned Twitter accounts.

#Serverless was the true “winner” of #ReInvent as it received a large number of retweets from a variaty of non-corporate accounts.

3. Most Favorited Hashtags

#Serverless takes the crown of as the most favorited hashtag. Again, we can see AWS themselves pushing #awsdeepracer to a top position (4).

Let me know what else you found interesting on these charts and what were your personal highlights that made it worth spending last week in Vegas (only Re:Invent-related topics please :-)).
